With over 15,000 well reports produced in-house, PDI maintains the largest single-source biostratigraphic data set in the Gulf Coast. Released well reports are available individually or in data and map packages.
Well Reports
Digital and hard copy Final Well Reports are included with PDI's Standard Examination Service. These reports include:
- Final paleo summary of all significant biostratigraphic markers, both foram and nannofossil fully integrated, major paleoecologic changes, and comments.
- Detailed data listed sample by sample.
- Data and range charts.
- Abundance, diversity, and biofacies graphs.
- Additionally, PDI offers composite biostratigraphic charts with sequence stratigraphic interpretations of flooding sufaces and systems tract candidates based on biostratigraphic parameters.
Well Database and Map Packages
Offshore LA and TX Foraminifera Well Data and Map Package:
- Digital database of biostratigraphic datums from over 8000 wells, utilizing a consistent interpretational approach all generated at PDI.
- Paleoenvironment (biofacies) maps on 23 regional datums from the Pleistocene to the base of the Miocene.
- Interval isopach maps between the same 23 regional datums.
- Supplemental updates of newly released wells reports issued quarterly.
Offshore LA and TX Nannofossil Report Package:
- Digital database of over 1100 wells from Offshore LA and TX.
- Database and supplemental well report updates issued quarterly.
- Offshore data subscribers also receive scanned image files of the full paleo reports in .pdf format. This includes sample descriptions, charts, and abundance graphs.
Onshore LA and TX Foraminifera Well Data and Map Package:
- Digital database of foram age datums from over 4500 wells.
- Paleoenvironment (biofacies) maps on 18 chronostratigraphic horizons to the base of the Oligocene.
- Gross thickness isopach maps between the same horizons.
